Our Christmas concert this year, entitled “Sounds of the Season” promises to be a very special treat for our audience. For the first time in several years, the Band will be joined by members of the Community Choir in a performance of “Christmas on Broadway” a medley of songs of the season from several Broadway shows.
Also, in a performance of “T’was the Night Before Christmas” we will feature as our guest narrator Gordy Hall, the newly appointed Principal of Thunderbolt Middle School. In addition to several more traditional holiday selections such as “First Noel”; “Celtic Carol”; “Polar Express”; and a real showstopper, “A Mad Russian’s Christmas” (a fun variation on Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite) we will present some selections originally planned for our 50th Anniversary Bridge concert. These include music by the Beatles and melodies from the James Bond films. So why not head over now to the “Buy Tickets” page here on the website and skip the line at the High School’s box office, or stop by either of our two advanced ticket buying locations:· River City Music at 2164 McCulloch Blvd. Suite B· Sound Bank Electronics at 1931 McCulloch Blvd.
We’ve also started a brand-new Newsletter called Band-Info. This will be a piece sent directly by email to our patrons with lots of information about concerts, musical selections and other interesting items. Be sure to sign up with your email address at our “Contact Us” page here on the site.
